Stringbean Co. is based in the town of Dickinson, North Dakota, population 16,035, a.k.a “The Western Edge”. Our mom & tot store is open for business downtown on the corner across on the from the Post Office at 46 Sims St, at the corner of Sims and 1st St East (Can't miss the big blue signs!)
Defying the economic downturn, North Dakota boasts 1 of only 2 budget surpluses in the nation and has a 3.6% unemployment rate! Dickinson proper's is 2.7%! Stop in and say hello!

The goods that Stringbean Co. makes, where are they manufactured?
North Carolina and North Dakota. One of the manufacturers we use is a family-run operation in business for over 45 years and located in the former “Sock Capital of the World”. We also utilize a women’s prison group, which trains and pays incarcerated women, giving them an opportunity to learn marketable skills as well as helping them financially support their families.
Today, over 90% of all hosiery products are made overseas in Asia. By reducing the distance between manufacturer and consumer, each domestically-sourced product we offer allows us to contribute not only to the U.S. economy, but to a more responsible and sustainable way of life.
What types of materials do you use?
The Skidnees are a cotton (the majority of which is post-consumer recycled cotton), lycra, and acrylic blend. The Skidnees are also made with an improved dye process that eliminates many harmful toxins. The baby wraps are 96% pima cotton, 4% lycra/spandex stretch. The capes are satin (naturally!) and cotton flannel or cotton jersey. See product descriptions for non-Stringbean Co. products content information.

What are your Shipping Deadlines?
Monday through Friday, for an order to go out same-day, please order prior to:
- 2pm Pacific Time
- 3pm Mountain Time

On Saturday, please order prior to:

- 11am Mountain Time

What are your Store Hours? (All times Mountain)

What about sales tax when buying online?
Sales tax will apply only to orders shipping to North Dakota (the Peace Garden State).

What is your return policy and refund policy?
We take great pride in our products at Stringbean Co., and hope that you find our items to be of exceptional quality. If you aren’t completely satisfied, though, we will work hard to help you get what you want. All returns may be made via mail or in our Dickinson, ND store, whichever is most convenient for you. Non-sale merchandise in new or unused condition may be returned with your packing slip up to 30 days from the purchase date for a full refund or for store credit (less shipping costs and surcharges). Non-sale merchandise in new or unused condition returned without a packing slip from the date of purchase shall be exchanged for store credit only (less shipping costs and surcharges). Any available store credits will be issued at the then lowest selling price and shall be in the form of a Stringbean Company gift card that will be mailed to the address provided. All gift returns may be for store credit only; no cash refunds are available. Store credits may be used at www.StringbeanCompany.com or at our Dickinson, ND location.
Please note that a 20% restocking fee will be applied against all new and unused furniture and gear merchandise returned in an opened or missing box. All sale purchases are final; no refunds or store credits available.
For mail-in returns:
- Repack the item in a proper mailing box.
- Write “return” at the bottom of the packing slip provided in your shipment and include it with the
items you are returning. - Consider insuring your package in case it is lost or damaged in transit. Stringbean Co. will not be responsible for lost or damaged packages.

If you no longer have your packing slip, please e-mail us at contact@stringbeanco.com or call our store at (701) 483.8662 between 10am & 6pm MT to obtain your order number. A printed copy of your e-mailed order confirmation would also work as a substitute packing slip. A packing slip or order number must be included in your return.

What is your cancellation policy?
All orders are automatically uploaded to our secure merchant processor which incurs fees. If you cancel your order before it has been shipped, you will be assessed a 10% cancellation fee before credit is issued. If you cancel your order after it has been shipped, the Return Policy Information listed above must be followed.
Does Stringbean Co. ship orders outside of the USA?
Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally at this time with the exception of Canada and Puerto Rico.
Does Stringbean Co. ship to a P.O. Box or APO/FPO address?
Unfortunately, we cannot ship to either P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses at this time due to restrictions from our shipping partners.
Is there an added shipping fee for large or over-sized items shipped from Stringbean Co.?
Yes, when an item is deemed “large” or “over-sized” or “drop-ship” the extra shipping charge of that item will appear in the item description. These extra charges will also be clearly noted during checkout and right before confirmation of your purchase.
What are the dimensions of the Skidnees?
11 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide.
How should I wash my Skidnees?
For best results, wash Skidnees in cold water and tumble dry low (or line dry). But, living in the real world, this busy mom washes her Skidnees the same way she washes her socks.
What are the dimensions of the Baby Wrap?
5 1/4 yards long and 23 in. wide make the Stringbean Baby Wrap versatile for use with a variety of tie styles, as well as body types.
How should I wash my Baby Wrap?
For best results, wash Baby Wrap a couple of times before use in warm water and tumble dry medium. Your wrap will soften with each wash, but will never bag or lose its shape due to the one-way stretch superior cotton fabric.
